About Us

Quality designs from Japan. For life, with joy.

At Yuzu Marché, I believe beautiful things should be part of everyday life.

I’m Misao Oki—founder, proud bicultural woman, mother, wife, and a curator at heart. As a kid, I lived in both Seattle and Nagoya. This experience deepened my appreciation for tradition, simplicity, and quality design.

From 2017 to 2020, I lived in Tokyo. While there, I fell in love with the everyday elegance of Japanese life—from pantry staples to lifestyle products. These items weren't fancy luxuries; they were simple, well-made, and full of quiet charm. When I returned to the U.S., I realized how rare it was to find that exact authenticity here.

So, I started Yuzu Marché.

Welcome to our online shop! We invite you to celebrate and blend cultures with us as we incorporate the timeless beauty of Japanese craftsmanship into your daily life here in the United States. As a minority woman-owned business, I have collaborated with talented small makers and women-led workshops across Japan to bring you their exceptional products.

Every item in our shop is handpicked. Every piece tells a story. From beautifully made chopsticks to other lifestyle goods, these are the kinds of things you won’t find at your local Japanese grocery store. Plus, they are made to last.

Meet the team!

🎉SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YUZU🎂
✨Born on July 20th🥳

Yuzu

CFO (Chief Fluffy Officer)

Yuzu is more than our mascot—she’s the spirit behind it all.

A rescue pup from Kagawa, she transformed our life in Tokyo. Through her, we met the most wonderful people—kind, generous dog owners who became life-long friends. She is a reminder that meaningful connections can come from the smallest gestures and the softest moments.

Yuzu now symbolizes everything we stand for: thoughtful living, quiet beauty, and meaningful connection. That’s why she became our name, our logo, and the heart of Yuzu Marché.
